AMPL - TSUNAMI AMPLITUDES ARE MEASURED RELATIVE TO NORMAL SEA LEVEL.
IT IS ...NOT... CREST-TO-TROUGH WAVE HEIGHT.
VALUES ARE GIVEN IN BOTH METERS(M) AND FEET(FT).

AT 223 AM PACIFIC DAYLIGHT TIME ON JULY 15 AN EARTHQUAKE WITH
PRELIMINARY MAGNITUDE 7.8 OCCURRED
OFF THE WEST COAST OF SOUTH ISLAND NEW ZEALAND.

THE PACIFIC TSUNAMI WARNING CENTER IN EWA BEACH HAWAII WILL ISSUE
MESSAGES FOR HAWAII AND OTHER AREAS OF THE PACIFIC OUTSIDE
CALIFORNIA/ OREGON/ WASHINGTON/ BRITISH COLUMBIA AND ALASKA.

THIS WILL BE THE FINAL STATEMENT ISSUED FOR THIS EVENT BY THE
WEST COAST/ALASKA TSUNAMI WARNING CENTER UNLESS ADDITIONAL

Tsunami warning cancelled for West Coast. From what I see.

I get the alerts... the one before this was the West Coast watch, but in that one they said Hawaii was the only one under a watch. West Coast CONUS never had anything to fear.

Did you guys see how big the "Tsunami" was... 0.5 Ft. Uh... real big wave.
