Lori Drew found GUILTY!!!
No felony charges, but the sentence carries a 3-year prison sentence and a $300,000 fine. These are federal charges.
I was *really* worried for a while there that she would get off on reasonable doubt. The girl who was her employee and helped set up the bogus MySpace account claimed that *she* was the one doing all the nasty talking and that Drew hadn't done anything. The problem with this? That girl had been given immunity in exchange for her testamony.
What I need to find out is if/how/when Drew's written statement to the police came into the trial, or if the judge didn't allow that extremely damning evidence to be given to the jury.... Otherwise, I think Drew would have been convicted of the felony counts.
